Bakers Biscuits has entered the luxury biscuit segment with the launch of the ‘Baked with Love' Premium range of decadent treats.
Containing real butter, chunks of chocolate, fruit and nuts, the Premium collection employs the art of home-style biscuit making and includes milk chocolate coated shortbread biscuits, available in ginger & dark chocolate, hazelnut & milk chocolate and cherry & almond flavours as well as bite-sized buttons.
The crunchy buttons come in three flavours: cappuccino & almond, crunchy lemon & oat, and hazelnut & milk choc chip.
“The Premium range provides the opportunity for Bakers to deliver on existing consumer needs and fill a gap in the premium snack market by supplying the LSM 7-10 market with a superior product,” says Sarah Band, Bakers brand manager.
Designed with the new Bakers Premium logo to identify the collection, the packaging is reminiscent of farm-style, home-baked quality, using a combination of matte and gloss varnishing and embossing to create the effect.
The Bakers Premium range will be available on-shelf from July 2008 at all major retailers at a recommended retail price of R21.99 for the buttons and R29.99 for the shortbread rounds.
