Global United in Namibia
After about a month of really intense work, which was SO worth it, that I'd do it all over again - Namibia hosted the Global United Football club in aid of Global Warming. With a bit of our own World Cup magic, 29 international players with likes of Fredi Bobic and Stig Inge Bjørnebye came to play on Namibian soil against African Stars and African Legends, made up of African greats like Phil Masinga, Peter Ndlovu and Pierre Issa.
Namibians still somehow believe that we're incapable of hosting big events - a few hiccups aside and the fact that we only had 4 weeks to plan, it went incredibly well. The amount of work and crisis management that went into this was nothign short of a miracle. I can safely say that this created loads of very positive exposure for us with every single international player saying they'll be back!
